Box of flowers

They were very cute tiny pink roses, gerberas and carnations. I've put them next to the bed so I can see them every night. :-)

I got them when I got picked up by P - there they were sitting in the passenger side.

Tarts from Veneziano

He brought these when he went to buy more coffee beans. Fortunately he helped me eat them. I am slowly expanding in the butt area.

Pink and cream gerberas

So I get in the car today and what is tucked into the seat? A beautiful bunch of gerberas. I said, "But my last flowers are still going!" ... he said, "So?"

Sink done

Phil took out the insinkerator that was leaking. Decided I didn't want another one. Pipes put in instead. Boards will be replaced soonish...

Chocolate souffle

Doesn't this look delicious! It's a chocolate souffle. No one has ever made a souffle for me before. :)

Tarts from Alberto's

We shared them. One lemon tart and one lime and something tart. Both were tasty. A treat for when I got home from work.

Red Roses

I started this blog because Phil keeps giving me presents and doing things for me. He is just toooooooo sweet. These were from today. I had just done the shopping and he arrived to collect me.. I was just talking and talking and opened the door to get into the car... and there are these things sitting on my seat. Of course, stopped talking right away and made a girly noise.

Strawberry mousse

Having two punnets of strawberries needing attention, I threw a number of suggestions at Phil who turned to his iphone for help. Strawberry mousse it was. But this is the day after he made them as they had to set for 4 hours and he made them around 9pm.

They were delicious.

Fixing the pelmet

I lost the end caps to the pelmet. Also I've never had it up there since I moved in 5 or 6 years ago and painted the wall. He measured it up and put in new caps for me.

Love Letter badges

These are made by a designer called Madz has Runaway. I lost mine so we scoured the Internet for them and Phil located them in an online shop called Georgie Love. They arrived in cute packing with some free postcards and another badge.

Chocolate Seashells

Present from Phil that he got while he was doing the shopping. I had been sick and this was a kind of get well gift. "I love seafood!" I said.

Chocolate souffle with chocolate sauce

So this is the third time he made souffles and badly this was actually our dinner. I couldn't try and eat something else after this. No one I know has ever made souffles for me before.

Silicone kitchen and strip lighting

We took a drive to Bunnings and came back with the goods, then spent the afternoon fixing and installing. I helped with the grout but he did all the lights and silicone. I was so happy!

Cheese souffle

Phil said he would make me souffles. Well his first attempt at my house before he bought the oven thermometer turned more into chocolate scones. This was his second attempt. They were puffier before I got the camera out. We had two each. They were delicious!

Slicer from Marcia's

I was complaining about julienne carrots. We went shopping at Marcia's for a slicer and he bought it for me. Now I can shred, slice and julienne my way to happiness.

Cleaning my room

He is such a sweetie. He was concerned by the level of dust in my room, so while I was on holiday he took everything out of my bedroom then he vacuumed and wiped down the surfaces and reorganised all the boxes under my bed.

Orange roses and lilies

I was picked up from the airport by Phil who even cut work early to do it. And he was standing there at the luggage carousel bearing this enormous bunch of flowers. I had no idea and it was so sweet and kitsch I gave him a big hug. Yes, people were looking all the way to the car.

Tidied my room

While I was away he tidied my room, dusted everything and washed everything!

He surprised me with these when he came to collect me from the airport after a family visit. Awwww... so beautiful. :)

The clothes stack

I had this stack of clothes for an eternity. They were things that needed to be hand washed, ironed or otherwise put away. When I first met Phil, I described it to him and then sent him a picture. He got to see it in person after a while but it always remained there. A few months after he first visited my home, I went on a family reunion and while I was gone he took care of it! Yes, that meant washing, ironing and putting away. He even organised all the various paperwork and shoes hidden under it.

Cupcakes spoiling

On Friday he gets out of work early, so one of these Fridays he came to my office bearing afternoon tea - 6 cupcakes and coffee. Can you imagine? No wonder my bum is spreading.

They were so gorgeous. I wanted to eat them all.

Cupcakes and Lip balm

So on another Friday he arrived at my office not only bearing cupcakes (6) but also a tiny lip balm housed in a cupcake.. and coffee. :)

These are blueberry, caramel, Canadian breakfast and carrot flavour. We ate two in the car and I forgot to take a photo.

French Toast / Woody Point

He made a breakfast of French Toast, artfully arranged. And then a day trip to Woody Point for lunch and gelati and a walk on the jetty.

Seeing the moon

This night we were out driving to somewhere and I pointed out the huge moon sitting on the horizon. He decided to drive to a spot where we would be able to see it properly. We drove here and there, up and down streets, looking for the right hill. Who else would do something so crazy?

It was really hard to show in a photo how huge the moon looked though.

Driving me to art shows

I would never have got to any of these shows had Phil not driven me around. And it was such a spread as well. Our first stop was Redcliffe ostensibly for breakfast, however I realised they have the gallery there that I had been told about but never visited.

This is not the gallery! But it is some crazy public sculpture at Redcliffe. (We were not allowed to photograph the gallery).

Our next stop was the airport where there was "Art with Altitude" on, a short weekend festival with various artworks and bands.

Then finally it was over to Macleay Island where my friend was hosting his art show! So it was a long day, with many kilometres, and it was all down to his patience and driving.

Salmon

I was really unwell one time and Phil said he would come over and cook for me. Well didn't he pull out all the stops. This was pretty extravagant in my mind. Crispy skin salmon (on a salad bed). It was tasty and it was nice to have someone do the cooking and washing.
